Who we are ?
Terravista is a company dedicated to the acquisition and conservation of forest land in Canada, capitalizing on its ecological services such as carbon sequestration. Our approach combines preservation, innovation and environmental sustainability. Our goal is to create a significant impact on biodiversity, climate change and communities by balancing conservation and economic opportunities.
Why we do it ?
At COP15 in 2022, Canada made a crucial commitment to achieve 30% protected area on its territory by 2030. Currently, only 13.6% of Canada's land area is protected. In addition, achieving this goal depends largely on government funding for conservation actions, whether on public or private land. Our goal is to make the acquisition and management of conservation areas profitable, in conjunction with our partners.
How we do it ?
In practice, Terravista adds value to forest areas through an integrated and agile approach. We maximize the community impact of each of our acquisitions. We preserve ecological integrity by quantifying and monitoring the biodiversity present throughout our acquired assets. By leveraging carbon sequestration and sustainable resource development, we offer a unique natural capital investment opportunity to our partners.
